Empowering, connecting, and mentoring are the core principles driving the newly established network, Brotherhood for Professionals of Colour (BPoC). Founded by Joseph Yamoah, a Senior Solutions Engineer at A.P. Møller - Mærsk, BPoC aims to support students and professionals of color in Denmark, fostering diversity, inclusion, and equality in the workplace.

Launched earlier this year, BPoC has already attracted over 90 members via its LinkedIn group, steadily growing into a thriving community. “We are in the early stages of structuring and defining our offerings, but I’m pleased with our progress,” says Yamoah.

BPoC seeks to provide professional support and camaraderie, ensuring members thrive and maximize their potential in the Danish job market. Yamoah emphasizes the need for such a network, citing the underrepresentation of men with non-Danish ethnic backgrounds in many sectors.

The network offers mentorship, CV assistance, interview coaching, career counseling, and conferences. It welcomes members at all career stages—students, recent graduates, and established professionals alike. “We believe diversity and inclusion drive innovation and satisfaction for individuals and organizations,” Yamoah concludes.
